Passport Party Project

Hey, all!

I thought I would do a vlog since I haven't done one in awhile. Video on two posts in one week. Oh my! :)

As mentioned in the video, here's the link for the Passport Party Project so that you can learn more about it. I'll be helping with the Passport Party Project events next summer in New York City and will be sure to blog about it.

When did you get your first passport? Where did you go after you received it? What has having a passport meant to you?

Happy Weekend!

My first passport was back in 7th grade right before my trip to Paris and London. I love having my passport and the ability to travel outside of the US. It's gone up in price (I think my last one was around $110), but since I only have to renew every 10 years it's really not that bad.

I love my passport because it's such a reminder of all the places I've been (I am obsessed with getting stamps and was so sad in Europe when every country didn't dispense them due to the EU thing).

I got my first passport when I was 16 and went to Spain with a language study program. It was a sad day when I had to give that one up and get the new one (at least they mail it back to you!).

Yep, this is a great program! I love what it means and what she's doing. It's great to see you're on board with her. I got my passport 10 years ago just before graduating high school, and we went to Cancun. :) I just renewed my passport this summer, so I'm ready to keep going! Great vlog.

This is such an awesome and important project! LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

And I adore my passport! Coming from a family with NO passports, I got my first one in college to travel in Europe and Japan.

It's gotten A LOT of stamps since then, although I too am always sad when a country doesn't stamp...

I got my first passport when I was 4 years old. It's long expired but I still have it. It's one of my most prized possessions. My first trip was to the USVIs. For me a passport is a "pass" to a world of possibilities and adventure.
The Passport Party Project sounds awesome.

Tell us about Germany! This is my official request, lol.

First in my family to get a passport, and I was 19. I went to South Korea, for an all-expenses paid trip for a week. It was also my first flight (17 hours! I'll never forget it!).

I actually don't think a passport is all that expensive. ~$100 every ten years? That's really not a bad deal.

Anyway, having a passport means a lot to me! I've used it as identification stateside, even though I have a driver's license. It's the one document that establishes my citizenship AND identity in one, so it's precious to me.

I always keep it on me - never know when I need to spontaneously cross the pond or go down under! I'm very similar to Lucy from While You Were Sleeping, that way. :)

The Passport Party Project sounds awesome!
