The tagline of this blog is "Exploring Food, Continents & Life," so this is one of those life posts.
Today is March 30, 2012. Even though we've got one more day left in March, it means that 2012 is 1/4 over...ALREADY. While that freaks me out, I think there's another way of thinking about it: You've still got 9 months to achieve whatever goals you may have set for yourself this year both big and small.
I've been obsessed with time this year. I think about how well I'm using it or how I may be wasting it. Perhaps it's that I'm getting older or moving closer to making larger life changes. Maybe I've just finally come to the deep realization that time is one of the biggest commodities I have in my possession right now. At this very moment, I have the time to make things happen for myself and for others.
Anyway, I thought I would share some words of encouragement and reveal some of the things I've been thinking about in the first 3 months of 2012 in Pinterest quotation form.

I created a Vision Board for 2012 with these quotations and more on Pinterest. Feel free to follow me there by clicking this link.
I know I'm getting a little Deepak Chopra/Yoda-like on you today, but the travel posts are coming. :)
I hope the next 3/4 of the year will allow you to learn more about yourself, accomplish goals and have experiences that you never imagined you would.
How has 2012 started off for you? Do you have any favorite quotations that help motivate and encourage you?
Happy Weekend!

I just posted a similar subject this week about where I am and where I thought I would be and where I hope to be. I felt the same way about 2012 and really cant believe it's 1/4 over! But you are right we still have so much more do to and enjoy this year! I hit a wall and ran into a slump/funk after the holidays, and then when my birthday came this month it got even worse!
Im inspired and encouraged by your post because I see you as a traveling, exploring woman who has seen the world and other cultures while I have havent been outside of the US! But we are the same because we both still have goals we want to reach and we still need to be pushed and inspired in our own way.
At first I was a little nervous to write my post about this subject but now that I see yours Im glad I did! xoxo
PS I cant believe I wasnt follow you on Pinterest!
Also I hope this made sense...what I wrote!
2012 has been interesting, yet unexpectedly stressful. Normally, I am someone who embraces change, particularly when I see it as a positive. But my career has been in flux for the past several months. I'm not complaining - I'm employed and have been so with the same company since I graduated college almost 12 years ago.
But, I'm at crossroads where I feel as though I've done everything I want to do with my current employer, so I've started looking outside. I have an interview next week. And I find myself absolutely terrified at the possibility of going elsewhere. I know I'm not truly valued at my current employer, and frankly, am looking to increase my salary (I do fine, but know I could make more). Yet my introverted self is terrified at having to (possibly) build new relationships somewhere else. Not to mention self-doubt - what if I get the job? What if I don't like it? What if I fail? What if I have a good thing where I am and don't realize it? What if I'm not extroverted enough? So the quote about going after what you want is really resonating with me right now.
I'm not one who has favorite quotes, but I like these on courage:
Courage is being afraid but going on anyhow. ~Dan Rather
Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear. ~Ambrose Redmoon
@Diana - Aww. Thanks, my dear! I agree that even if our goals are different, they are still goals, ya know? As long as we are striving to do better ourselves and be with our family and friends that's all that matters.
@Daphne - I hear you about career issues. I think we're at that age where it's time to start making moves. Everyone I know is in this weird point in their career (Including me). I TOTALLY understand, but it's great that you are moving forward despite your fears. I think I need to take your advice! :) Thanks for the great quotations!
